SLS Sponsors Tenth Annual Women & Wine Event Supporting Georgetown Lombardi's Comprehensive Cancer Center

On April 20, 2015, over 600 of the DC area’s top businesswomen gathered for dinner and a silent auction to benefit the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center and specifically, breast cancer research, at the Tenth Annual Women & Wine event. SLS attorney B.A. Spignardo served as a Dinner Committee member for the second year, and SLS provided a table sponsorship, also for the second year.  

Clients of the firm attending the event listened to a briefing given by top scientists and physicians from Georgetown Lombardi on the latest research breakthroughs in cancer, followed by networking, bidding on auction items, and dinner featuring speeches from survivors and others affected by cancers that mainly affect women. The event raised over $395,000 in support of the research conducted at Georgetown Lombardi’s center (a $136,000 increase over last year). The Firm intends to continue its support of this event at the Eleventh Annual Women & Wine event, and B.A. Spignardo will return for next year’s event as a Dinner Committee and organizing member.
