SLS ATTORNEY APPOINTED BY COURT IN CIVIL RIGHTS CASE

Veteran SLS trial attorney Scott D. Burke has been appointed by the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland to represent Albert Curtis Mills.  Mr. Mills alleges that his federal civil rights were violated when a corrections officer at the Maryland House of Correction utilized excessive force to restrain Mr. Mills.

Scott’s pro bono appointment follows in Shapiro, Lifschitz & Schram’s long-standing tradition of utilizing their legal talents and expertise to help those striving to vindicate their rights.
