Experience.
Timothy T. Unruh (“Tim”) has been involved in the real estate industry for most of his career. As a corporate real estate broker from the early 1980’s until the mid 1990’s, Tim was involved in all aspects of commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, development, leasing and management. During this time, Tim worked closely with attorneys and was charged with understanding the legal aspects of real estate transactions. After relocating to the eastern United States, Tim worked at two AmLaw 100 firms as a real estate and transactional finance paralegal on both domestic and international matters. During this time he built expertise in the telecommunications industry including tower and facility leases/licenses and service provider agreements in multiple jurisdictions. In addition, Tim further honed his paralegal skills by working on mergers and acquisitions, corporate transactional matters, document drafting and review and the due diligence process.
Passion.
Tim’s passion is client service … period. He recognizes that “everyone” involved in the process is a client. Everyone includes his peers, colleagues, clients and anyone within the general public that is involved in the matter. Tim strives on a daily basis to treat each person with the upmost respect. His motto is “treat everyone the way you would like to be treated.”
Tim’s father was a manager for a large national retail company. He remembers his father’s strong work ethic and how he taught, “excellent customer service skills” to his staff members and his family. Tim is proud to serve his clients and colleagues and first caught this passion while watching customer training tapes with his father.
Solutions.
Tim is an analytical thinker and problem solver for both his clients and colleagues. Not only has he taken over 15 American Bar Association continuing legal education courses, he has also worked hard to become computer savvy and proficient in six legal-oriented software applications. He understands that technology prowess means efficiency and effectiveness for Shapiro, Lifschitz & Schram and all of the firm’s clients.
