Shapiro, Lifschitz & Schram Welcomes Keli Colby

WASHINGTON, D.C., August 17, 2022 – Shapiro, Lifschitz & Schram is pleased to announce the addition of Keli Colby, counsel to the firm, real estate companies that invest, develop and property manage a variety of asset classes, including office buildings, hotels, multi-family housing, retail projects, condominium projects, and workforce housing.

With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Colby has worked on a variety of major real estate projects and transactions both as in-house and outside counsel in the D.C. metropolitan area and nationally. She advises real estate owners nationally on all aspects of complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, financings, various aspects of mixed-use real estate developments, joint ventures, and leasing. Prior to joining Shapiro, Lifschitz & Schram she served eight years with a prominent global law firm and 15 years as vice president and counsel with Boston Properties, Inc., a publicly traded, national REIT.

Colby is a member of the District of Columbia Bar Association and the Virginia Bar Association. She also serves as a CREW EDU committee member for CREW DC and previously served on the communications and editorial committee for the CREW Network.

Colby earned her undergraduate degree from Sweet Briar College and her law degree from American University’s Washington College of Law.
